As a
sustainability adviser, Monica has been assisting organisations to
bring sustainability into their business planning process, through
strategic planning, culture change, innovation and learning for the
past decade.
She is the
Executive Officer of the Australian Sustainable Built Environment
Council, the peak body of key organisations committed to the
sustainable built environment in Australia.
Monica was a
director on TBL Australia and the Epoch Foundation and a committee
member of the Australian Corporate Citizenship Alliance:
leading organisations that were having the conversation about
sustainability and CSR in the late 90’s and the early part of this
century.
The focus of
her work in the built environment as a consultant for Encompass
Sustainability involves pre and post occupancy workplace
assessments and strategic guidance through focus groups and surveys
and, the development of building user guides. These assessments
assist clients gain and improve their knowledge management process
for future projects.
She has
written numerous articles including, “How Victorian businesses,
governments and non-government organisations are taking the journey
towards the triple bottom line”, identified key issues surrounding
TBL, corporate social responsibility and sustainability across
Australia. She recently co-authored a paper “'Green' Buildings:
What Australian Building Users Are Saying”.
During her
post graduate studies in Strategic Foresight Monica undertook
research into how Foresight in used in the built environment both
nationally and internationally. |
