Nigel Harris
has over 28 years of real estate experience and currently works
with Chevron, one of the world’s premier energy companies in the
capacity as advisor on Asia Pacific real estate matters. He has
worked extensively throughout Asia over the last 10 years and has
led many of Chevron’s principal real estate activities and
initiatives in that time. Prior to Chevron, Nigel spent four years
in Australia advising energy companies and other multi-national
companies on divestment and acquisition strategies.
Separately,
he lived and worked in Japan during the early 1990’s and assisted
in establishing the International Business Department for Ikoma
Corporation. During this time he advised and consulted to
fortune 100 companies and was instrumental in many corporate real
estate restructuring efforts.
He also spent
five years as an appraiser in Australia prior to becoming a
corporate real estate professional. During part of this time he
worked with Citibank as an analyst advising on REIT and Property
Trust initiatives.
Nigel’s
career began on the facilities side in the support of National
Mutual’s asset management group. He held a number of facility
management positions with National Mutual before branching out into
valuations and research.
Nigel’s
initial discipline is in property valuations and he continues his
associations with the Australian Property Institute. He is an
active member of CoreNet; including being the Past Chapter Chair
for Corenet Singapore, Current Asia-Pac Regional Chair and serves
on committees and faculties to support Corenet efforts in Asia
Pacific. |
