Sarah
K. Abrams is President of Fidelity Real Estate Company (FREC),
a division of Fidelity Investments and leads the
organization responsible for providing the full range of corporate
real estate services to Fidelity’s business units both nationally
and internationally. She oversees a portfolio in excess of
10.0 million sf including four mission critical data centers and an
annual capital budget of $500 million.
Prior to
joining Fidelity in 1996, Ms. Abrams was a Senior Vice President at
USTrust, a Boston based bank where she ran the Real Estate Owned
and Environmental Risk Departments. From 1988 to 1992, Ms.
Abrams owned and operated the Trover Company, a real estate
development and consulting firm. Ms. Abrams began her career
as a Project Manager for the Kirkland Group, a developer of
multi-family housing.
In
addition to her full-time responsibilities, Ms. Abrams served as an
adjunct associate professor of law at the Cornell Law School from
1990-1993 and as an instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology’s Center for Real Estate in the fall of 1994, where she
co-taught the core legal course.
Ms.
Abrams holds a BA degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from
Boston University, a JD degree from the Cornell Law School and a
Master of Science degree in real estate development from the
Massachusetts’ Institute of Technology’s Center for Real
Estate.
Ms.
Abrams serves as Treasurer of the Boston Chapter of the National
Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), is
Executive Vice President of the New England Chapter of CORENET
Global, served for 4 years on the Board of Trustees of the Boston
Industrial Development Finance Authority, is a member and past
president of New England Women in Real Estate (NEWIRE), a past
director of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA),
and a member of the Real Estate Finance
Association.
Ms.
Abrams lives in Newton, Massachusetts with her husband, Allan Cole
and their son, Eli.
