The
Debate
12.30 p.m. -
1.30 p.m., Tuesday 1 July
Ballroom
1, Level 2
Sponsored
by Brookfield
Multiplex
"That
the Implementation of Sustainability in the
Australian Office Workplace is being held back by the
Occupiers"
The
annual industry-based The Debate was launched at the Sydney 2004
Summit, providing a light-hearted but lively panel discussion over
lunch.
With
participants drawn from major occupiers and from major
owners/ fund managers/ developers, The Debate focuses
on a contemporary and deliberately contentious issue, and
explores any differences in perceptions and expectations between
the two sides. The intent is to help build understanding and
communication within the industry.
The
views expressed during The Debate are neither those of the
individual participants, nor of their organisations. However,
during the 15-minute Q & A following The Debate, the
participants are welcome to disavow their previous comments and to
express their personal/ organisational position!
Delegates
will be asked to assess the participants on three criteria, giving
each criterion equal weight:
- Humour
- Acting
in accordance with the rules of debating
- Quality of argument
The
Facilitator will determine the winning team based on a show of
hands by the delegates.
Let The
Debate begin!
