Market
Track 1:

Phillip
Room 2, Level 2
While many employers are
citing factors such as record low unemployment, the current skills
shortage, an ageing population, and the drain of talent overseas as
reasons why they cannot secure new recruits, the latest
Hudson 20:20 Series report, titled Candidate Buying
Behaviour: An Exploration into the Key Motivators of Today's Job
Seeker reveals the real problem is that employers are
ignoring job seekers’ needs and wants.
This session will explore
the layers of complexity around the employee decision-making
process – what triggers a desire for someone to look for a new job
and how do job seekers choose an employer? This
session will also provide advice on how employers can discard
old thinking and attitudes towards recruitment and begin to think
and act innovatively. Ultimately this session will answer the
question of how can employers 'stand out from the crowd' in a
competitive employment market?
